Let's Talk Body Dysmorphia

REALLY???

Apparently i’m not allowed to have feelings about my own body…

Because “There is nothing to you’.

Because "You don't have a typical mum body."

Because "You don’t have stretch marks."

Because "I wish I looked like you"

So most people mean well, they really do.

BUT…

I do have a mum body.

Mine just looks different than yours. BUT all are valid

Yes, I got "lucky" not getting stretch marks on my tummy, I definitely have them other places.

Although I have my bad days with the stretched squishy skin and the saggy boobs.

I love my body.

I take care of it. See it's not about being "skinny", or wishing you looked like someone else.

Because we all have our insecurities.

I show you this because I choose to. If I didn't, you would only see the best pictures of me. That doesn't mean the first picture doesn't exist. Both are me. Learning to love your body where it's at is difficult, but once you do that you start to appreciate your body & no longer compare.

You take care of your body.

You embrace your body.

You have fun in your body.

Moral of the story.

Even the smallest/fittest of people struggle with body dysmorphia.

So please don't discredit ANYBODY'S emotions and feelings, simply because you're comparing yourself to them.

Just love on people where they are at
